Call for Abstracts Glocall International Conference 2024

Dear respected authors and colleagues,

Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI), and Pacific Computer-Assisted Language Learning Association are honored to welcome all the valued presenters to submit your abstracts to our GLOCALL INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE 2024. The Conference will be held face-to-face at Hanoi University of Industry on August 22-24, 2024.

GLoCALL conferences have been held annually since 2007 in various countries across the Asia Pacific region. They are normally organized by PacCALL together with local associations/institutions. The GLOCALL Conferences aim to share knowledge, research, and experience on how to use computer technology to make language learning more effective and exciting; to explore how the technology can be adapted to better meet the local needs of students and teachers, while at the same time providing global perspectives on Computer-assisted language learning (CALL) and Technology in Language Learning (TELL); and to bring the technology within the reach of local teachers who wish to develop their professionalism in CALL.

GLOCALL INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE 2024 at Hanoi University of Industry, Vietnam invites all proposals for paper presentations (25 minutes for presentation and 5 minutes for Q&A), workshops (60 minutes), symposium (60 mins), and poster presentations. Topics of particular interest include but are not limited to:

- Technology in language teaching and learning

- Computer-assisted language learning (CALL)

- Technology in Language Learning (TELL)

- ICTs in education

- Blended learning and online learning

- Artificial Intelligence (AI) and language education

- AI, Chatbot and Language Learning

- Game-Based Language Learning and AI

- The use of CALL and AI in teaching and learning

- Other topics related to CALL and ICTs

The submission should include the title of the presentation, an abstract for the presentation (200 words maximum), 4-5 keywords.

Every author is required to provide personal information including a title, full name, affiliation, contact information, a portrait image, and biodata outlining interests and previous experience (100 words maximum).

Abstract submission deadline: 15 April, 2024

Notification of acceptance: 1-15 May, 2024

Release of a preliminary conference programme: 15 July, 2024

Conference workshop: 22 August, 2024

Main conference: 23-24 August, 2024

Deadline for pre-registration of participants (early bird): 31 July, 2024

Deadline for registration for virtual presenters: 05 August, 2024

Deadline for virtual presenters to upload their presentations: 15 August, 2024

2. Publication

After the conference, all presenters will be invited to submit full papers to be reviewed. Accepted papers will be published in the Special Issue of the CALL- EJ journal (Q1 Scopus) and the conference proceedings with an ISBN.
